One Person Killed in Midtown South Shooting Incident during Early Morning Hours
The body of a 32-year-old man was discovered in Midtown South early Sunday morning with a gunshot wound to the head, according to the police. The occurrence transpired at the intersection of West 30th Street and 7th Avenue at around 5:30 a.m., falling under the jurisdiction of the Midtown South Precinct.
Officers responded to a 911 call regarding a person who had been shot at 355 7th Avenue and, upon their arrival, discovered the man inside. Upon the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), it was determined that the victim had passed away.
“An investigation is currently underway,” the official press release stated. “At this time, no arrests have been made.”
As per the requisite family notification, the deceased’s identity has not yet been disclosed by authorities. As the investigation is still in progress, specific information is currently restricted.
