An Independence woman tragically lost her life on Saturday night when a vehicle struck her on Interstate 70, according to officials. The incident occurred in Blue Springs, Missouri.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on I-70 near Adams Dairy Parkway at around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
According to MSHP officials, a tragic incident occurred when 24-year-old Annamarie Ramirez was standing in the middle of the road. Despite the teen’s attempt to avoid a collision, his vehicle ultimately struck Ramirez at the front.
