Police say one person was killed and two people were injured in a crash on White Horse Pike in New Jersey

Officials in New Jersey announced the closure of a section of the White Horse Pike on Friday night.

Police reported that the White Horse Pike had to be closed in the vicinity of Atco Motel due to ongoing cleanup operations, resulting in the redirection of drivers from Stevens and Garfield Avenues.

According to the police, a minimum of one car was involved in the crash. The drivers responsible for the incident promptly stopped their vehicles and remained at the scene.

Waterford Township police took to social media and encouraged drivers to find an alternative route.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Skyforce10 was present at the scene, where crews were actively conducting investigations. The area was bustling with the presence of approximately six police cars.

Firefighters and their firetrucks were present at the location, attending to a dark-colored car that was stranded in the middle of the road.
