Streetcar and car collide on Canal Street in New Orleans
A streetcar and a car were involved in a collision on Thursday afternoon. At 4:15 p.m., the collision occurred on Canal and Norman C. Francis.
Eleanor Tabone, of WWL-TV, was present at the scene. According to a resident who witnessed the collision and spoke with Tabone, the vehicle collided with the streetcar.
The driver is currently receiving treatment from EMS; the severity of his injuries is unknown.
A cautious approach is advised for motorists in the vicinity due to the sluggish flow of traffic.
