The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office has launched a death investigation after a victim was discovered dead on a roadway

According to Sheriff Terry Mears, the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office has launched a death investigation following the passing of the victim involved in an incident on Thursday night.

Around 10:35 p.m., law enforcement officers received a call about a male victim in the roadway at the 19000 block of Andalusia Highway. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered the victim, whose identity had not been made public yet, with severe injuries. The sheriff confirmed the incident.

According to Mears, despite the valiant efforts of the emergency medical team, the victim unfortunately passed away due to his injuries at Andalusia Hospital.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the Sheriff’s office are seeking the assistance of anyone who may have witnessed or has information that could be useful in the case. They urge individuals to come forward and provide any relevant information that may aid in the investigation.
