Authorities are currently looking for two individuals who were captured on camera stealing a shopper’s wallet at a Ralphs store located on Harvard Avenue and Main Street. The victim was caught off guard and unaware of the theft taking place. The police are actively investigating the incident and seeking any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects.

The recently released surveillance footage captured a troubling incident where a woman momentarily left her shopping cart unattended, and a nearby man quickly took advantage of the situation by opening her purse and stealing her wallet. The video is a stark reminder of the importance of remaining vigilant and safeguarding our belongings, especially in public places, unfortunately,ย  there are individuals out there who are to take advantage of others’ vulnerabilities for their gain. We must all be aware and take necessary precautions to prevent such incidents from happening to us.

According to the video footage, the man slyly concealed the wallet on a shelf and left the aisle composedly. Shortly after, his accomplice rummaged through the same frame and retrieved the stolen wallet.

According to the Irvine police, thieves are notorious for their ability to steal valuable items in the blink of an eye. They can be quicker than grabbing a box of mac and cheese from your pantry! As a precaution, it’s always best to watch your belongings and avoid turning your back on your purse or handbag. The police shared a video of a recent theft on social media to highlight the importance of staying alert and vigilant.

As of yet, the two burglars remain at large and have not been apprehended.
