Dollar General robbery: masked man arrested for stealing beer, candy

According to WSFA news, a resident of Montgomery County Detention Facility has been charged with the robbery of a local business. However, the motive behind the crime was not for monetary gain.

According to court records, Ronrico Scott, aged 41, has been accused of stealing two cases of Corona beer and various candies from the Dollar General store located in the vicinity of Lower Wetumpka Road and Chisholm Street. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Tuesday, when he allegedly forced his way past two employees while leaving the store. The employees reported that he threatened to harm them and even reached into his pocket, as if to draw a pistol.

After Montgomery police conducted their investigation, Scott was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.

The setting of bail is still pending.
