This South Carolina Senator is protesting a bill that would require New York Chick-fil-A restaurants to be open on Sundays
A recently published article by Salon reveals that a proposed bill, which could potentially mandate Chick-fil-A restaurants in New York to operate on Sundays, has received criticism from at least one U.S. senator.
SC Senator Lindsey Graham is not just protesting the proposed bill, but he even took the step of visiting a Chick-fil-A eatery in NY to express his support. In a statement released on Friday, December 22, Graham made it clear, “I showed up to their Manhattan location today while visiting NYC to send a clear message: Hands off OUR Chick-fil-A!”
The bill mentions that it is not objectionable for a fast-food restaurant to close on a specific day of the week. However, it highlights that service areas dedicated to travelers are not the appropriate location for such a restaurant.
