Woman found dead in hotel bathtub in Alexandria Bay, possibly due to drowning

According to troopers, a woman was discovered deceased in a hotel bathtub in Alexandria Bay on Sunday.

Troopers said a distress call was made at 1 p.m. to the Bonnie Castle Resort located at 31 Holland Street. The call was made after discovering the lifeless body of 61-year-old Clayton resident Amy G. Koehler in a bathtub. The incident was reported on Tuesday.

Troopers believe that Koehler may have drowned, potentially due to a medical event. However, they have stated that there is no indication of foul play involved in the incident.

Troopers have indicated that an autopsy has been scheduled while they continue their investigation.
