Seabrook PD Investigates Serious Accident on State Hwy 146 Southbound
In the late hours of September 23, 2023, a significant collision involving a motorcycle and SUV occurred in Seabrook, Texas. The Seabrook Police Department has initiated an investigation into the incident, which occurred at approximately 10:25 PM at the 2600 Block of State Hwy 146 Southbound.
According to preliminary reports, a motorcycle with two riders, painted black, was travelling south on State Hwy 146. Simultaneously, a silver SUV was heading west beneath the same highway. It is said that the SUV ignored a red light and collided with the motorcycle, severely injuring both riders.
At the accident scene, emergency services acted swiftly to administer medical attention to the injured riders. Subsequently, the riders were transported to UTMB Clear Lake Hospital for further treatment. Collaborating with Seabrook Police, the Harris County PCT 8 Constables Crash Reconstruction team is investigating the incident to determine the events that led to the collision.
Four individuals were in the SUV at the time of the accident; fortunately, only minor injuries were sustained. Medical treatment was administered at the scene, and once deemed fit, they were released. In light of this incident, the Seabrook Police Department took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of adhering to traffic rules for the sake of everyone’s safety.
The injured riders and their families received heartfelt sympathies from the police department. The department expressed their hope for a speedy recovery and assured them of an ongoing investigation into the accident.
