A missing Tennessee child has been found safe in Canton; two people have been arrested
A missing Tennessee child has been discovered safe and sound in Canton.
Authorities were looking for Elizabeth Ledford, 6, who was believed to be in a blue Nissan Versa with her father, Richard Ledford.
Two people have been detained, one of them is thought to be Richard.
According to Madison County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Heath Hall, Versa was stopped by deputies from the sheriff’s office and the Mississippi Highway Patrol at a Sprint Mart on West Peace Street off Highway 22 in Canton.
Elizabeth was discovered to be safe. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is collaborating with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on the investigation.
