An Amber Alert Girl Is Found In Iowa By An Indiana State Police Trooper
Ucreview – On Wednesday night, a 14-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert from Iowa was found by an Indiana State Police trooper in Hammond.
According to Sgt. Glen Fifield of the ISP, Trooper Adrian Garcia observed the vehicle associated with the Amber Alert departing from a Hampton Inn in Hammond, and he was in close proximity to their last known whereabouts.
According to Fifield, a 36-year-old woman from Des Moines, who was driving, was apprehended and the girl was safely found.
Des Moines police have reported that the non-custodial parent of a girl with special care needs and disabilities took her. The girl’s situation is of great concern to authorities.
According to Fifield, Des Moines police have taken custody of the woman and she is currently being held at the Lake County Jail. The juvenile involved will be reunited with her custodial guardian.
