Investigation into Inappropriate Social Media Incident Leads to Arrest and Suspension of Three Portage Police Officials
According to Portage Police Chief Keith Klafke, three individuals from the Portage Police Department, consisting of two patrol officers and an administrative assistant, have been taken into custody and are currently on administrative leave.
The officials have been arrested for inappropriate comments on social media. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department is currently conducting an investigation into the matter. The details of the alleged offence have not been disclosed yet. One of the officials has been arrested for disorderly conduct.
Another connected but separate case involves the alleged violation of a temporary restraining order by two officials. This order was issued about claims of harassment of a minor that occurred at a nearby school.
