Arrest in Carson City for drug possession and production of counterfeit IDs
According to KOLO News, two individuals were recently apprehended by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office for operating a forgery laboratory that produced fraudulent Nevada identification cards. The authorities also discovered a stash of drugs on the premises along with the fake IDs.
Monica Marie Main, aged 43, has been taken into custody for several offences, including forgery, possession of drug-related materials, drug trafficking, and drug possession.
According to reports, Kyle Steven Leake, aged 56, has been apprehended by CCSO based on two arrest warrants issued in California. The bail amount has been set at $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
The Special Enforcement Team of CCSO pulled over Main’s Mazda on Friday around 10 p.m. on Interstate 580. The stop was due to the absence of a front license plate and a cracked windshield.
While searching the vehicle, CCSO discovered a Nevada ID forgery lab. The lab contained laptops and a printer that were located in the trunk. Additionally, blank identifications were found in the centre console, indicating they were ready to be printed.
According to the sheriff’s office, Main’s photograph was found with a different name in one of the identifications.
According to the sheriff’s office, the search yielded not only a significant amount of heroin, but also 4.5 ounces of methamphetamine and a glass pipe used for consuming the drug.
