Flooding on Belt Parkway causes major delays in both directions

The Belt Parkway is heavily congested on Friday morning due to a coastal storm that is dumping heavy rain on the tri-state area.

Both lanes are experiencing delays near Cropsey Avenue Exit 6. The vehicles captured by traffic cameras have water up to the tops of their tires.

Commuters are urged to take precautions due to the downpours that will last until Saturday.
