Residents in Tennessee are being cautioned by authorities about a lottery scam that is currently circulating in the area. It is important for locals to remain vigilant and avoid being tricked by this fraudulent scheme.

Residents in Warren County are receiving letters claiming that they have won a lottery from Publishers Clearing House and the Free Lotto Association of North America, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a letter shared on the department’s Facebook page, an individual has won a prize of $750,000. However, in order to receive the money, the winner is required to establish payment arrangements with an advisor for a certain fee.

If you receive a letter like this, discard it and report it immediately as the department has confirmed it to be a blatant scam.
