Fani Willis on Potential Trump Imprisonment: No ‘Special Break’
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, the prosecutor who charged Donald Trump over his alleged efforts to subvert the 2020 election in Georgia, emphasized that his former president status would not influence her decision on sentencing recommendations. In an interview with CNN, Willis stated, “I believe that everyone in society should be treated equally, and I fail to see why this concept is so challenging for some individuals.” She further added, “Our sentencing recommendations will be based solely on the charges, without any special treatment given to anyone based on their status.” If convicted, Trump could potentially face a life sentence.
