Fatal collision between a motorcyclist and a semi truck on 57 Freeway
Early on Tuesday morning, a tragic accident occurred on the 57 Freeway, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The collision involved a semi truck and the motorcyclist, and unfortunately, the motorcyclist did not survive.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred shortly before 1:45 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the highway, in the vicinity of Sunset Crossing.
When they arrived at the scene, the motorcyclist was discovered lying on the road.
At the scene of the incident, the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed yet, was declared dead by the paramedics of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The investigation by CHP resulted in a prolonged SigAlert being issued for all southbound lanes, leading to a significant traffic buildup that lasted for several hours.
