Football coach from Northern California High School passed away
The district has announced that a well-loved football coach at a high school in Vacaville passed away on Saturday.
According to a spokesperson from the Vacaville Unified School District, Coach Jacob Wright, who served as the football coach at Will C. Wood High School, experienced an unexpected medical emergency during a morning meeting. Unfortunately, he was unable to recover and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he passed away.
In a letter addressed to the families of students, Principal Charleston Brown urged everyone to keep the Wright family and the Wildcat football team in their thoughts.
In the afternoon, the stadium welcomed individuals who wanted to come together and pay tribute to Wright’s memory.
According to Brown, counseling staff will be accessible to both staff and students starting from Monday.
