In Felton, a man was arrested for disregarding police

Nicholas Stryker, a resident of Frederica, Delaware, was arrested by the Felton Police Department on October 26, 2023. He was charged with disregarding a police officer, among other charges. The accompanying image shows Stryker’s mug shot.

On October 26th, at approximately 12:55 P.M., Stryker was heading towards the west in the town limits of Felton, on the 100 block of East Main Street. As he was passing a Felton Police Patrol vehicle stationed in the same block, conducting traffic enforcement, Stryker performed a wheelie by lifting the front wheel of his yellow motorcycle. The officer in the patrol vehicle immediately turned on the emergency lights and siren and tried to stop Stryker’s motorcycle.

As the police car pulled alongside the motorcycle, Styker looked back and made a hand gesture before attempting to escape once more. Despite traveling at a slow speed, Styker’s efforts failed as he collided with the patrol car’s passenger side door, causing a minor dent and ultimately bringing his motorcycle to a halt. It was later discovered that the motorcycle was unregistered and uninsured.

After surrendering to the authorities, Stryker now faces several charges, which include:

Following his arrest, Stryker was arraigned in front of Justice of the Peace Court #2. He was released on an unsecured bond of $5,400, pending a future court date. In addition, a no-contact order with the Town of Felton was issued against him.
