Lafayette police Arrest two for Armed Robbery and Carjacking
Two individuals were arrested following an armed robbery and carjacking incident in Lafayette during the early morning hours on Thursday. According to KLFY, the suspects have been taken into custody and are held accountable for their actions.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in the early hours of Thursday morning regarding a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Hermosa Ln. Without wasting any time, the deputies quickly sprang into action. With the assistance of the Real Time Crime Center agents, they successfully intercepted the stolen vehicle and apprehended the suspects near the 900 block of West Willow St.

Two women, Kerry Chaisson aged 44 and Heather Guidr,y aged 39, were taken into , custody and charged with armed robbery and carjacking. Chaisson faces additional charges of aggravated flight and resisting an officer, while Guidry has been charged with possessing drug paraphernalia.
Chaisson and Guidry were taken into custody and subsequently booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
