Police report a man punched upon exiting a Subway Train in Manhattan
Police are currently searching Manhattan’s Harlem neighbourhood for a suspect involved in a subway assault on Wednesday.
According to authorities, an elderly gentleman in his 70s was assaulted by an unknown individual while getting off a C train at St. Nicholas Avenue and 145th Street in Harlem. The attack, around 7:15 pm, involved the assailant punching the man in the face.
The police reported that the victim had sustained a deep cut on his face and lip. The injury was severe enough to require immediate medical attention, and the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed on Friday that the perpetrator was still at large. According to authorities, the suspect is estimated to be around 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.
