Male transported to hospital after being shot in Miami, police say

Authorities in Miami are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Friday evening which left a male victim hospitalized.

According to Miami authorities, they received a ShotSpotter alert in the vicinity of Northeast Second Avenue and 72nd Street, close to the Little Haiti area, just before 6:45 p.m., and promptly responded.

Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that a man had been shot inside a nearby residence. However, the victim refused to leave the house and report the incident to the police.

Investigators reported that the victim granted permission to the police and fire rescue teams to enter the residence shortly after.

According to the police, the victim was resistant at first and showed combative behavior. However, he has now cooperated and permitted the fire rescue team to take him to the hospital for treatment.

At present, the victim appears to be doing well after the incident, according to authorities. There isn’t any extra information about the victim or suspect involved in the shooting, as detectives have yet to disclose any details. mmIt is currently unclear what motivated the shooting.
