Two homeless guys found dead in old town Victorville over the weekend by coroner ID
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (ucreview) – in old town Victorville, officials carried out two separate death investigations involving homeless men over the weekend.
Over the weekend on August 26, 2023, responders from the Victorville Police Department and Victorville City Fire were called to the riverbed vicinity behind Eva Dell Park. According to Mara Rodriguez, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office, a man was found unresponsive on a mattress by a passerby.
According to a spokesperson, the man was pronounced dead by fire personnel. The coroner’s division is currently investigating the cause of death, and no indications of any criminal activity have been reported.
According to the coroner, John Ayala, a 37-year-old man from the City of Riverside who had recently been living as a transient in the Victorville area, has been identified as the deceased. The place of his death has been listed as a homeless encampment, and the manner of his death is currently pending.
On the morning of Sunday, August 27th, a local business owner discovered an unresponsive person lying on the sidewalk in old town Victorville, less than a mile from the previous incident.
Upon their arrival, the emergency personnel declared that Benjamin A. Hill, a 50-year-old individual, had passed away at the site. The coroner has yet to determine the cause of death and has labeled it as pending.
