Water main break in Amsterdam, then boil water advisory, city says
Amsterdam, N.Y. has encountered a water main break on Guy Park Avenue. As a result of ongoing repairs, the western part of the city may be experiencing low water pressure or a complete water outage.
After the repair is completed, a notification will be issued about the need to boil the water for safety reasons. At present, the repair crew is present on the site, working diligently to fix the issue.
Those who lose all water will need to boil their water until further notice, officials said.
Those areas will have little or no water. The city indicated they would have more information once the water is turned back on.
Residents with questions can contact the city Engineering Department at 518-841-4331.
