Wilmington man charged in Carolina Beach overdose death

In a recent update, it has been revealed that the Carolina Beach police have pressed charges against a man for Death by Distribution in connection with an overdose case from 2022.

Carolina Beach Police Department detectives have apprehended 23-year-old Ethan Hill Faircloth.

Emergency responders were dispatched to a residence on Hamlet Avenue on September 7, 2022, where they found Dennis “Nash” Nye Connor, 22, who had suffered an overdose. Sadly, he did not survive.

Faircloth has been identified by the Carolina Beach Police Department detectives as the individual who is accountable for the distribution of illegal drugs, which ultimately resulted in the untimely death of Connor.

Authorities issued a Death by Distribution warrant to Faircloth while he was already behind bars at the New Hanover County Jail for drug trafficking and DWI charges. The warrant was served to him by the Wilmington Police.

Faircloth currently faces a Felony Death by Distribution charge and was placed on a $100,000 secured bond.
