Woman from Williamsville sentenced for embezzling more than $100K from Clarence employer
A judge in Buffalo, New York sentenced a woman from Williamsville on Wednesday following her admission of guilt in the theft of over $100,000 from a fitness center in Clarence, where she was employed. This announcement was made by the office of the Erie County District Attorney, John J. Flynn.
After pleading guilty to second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony, Sienna D. Foumakoye, aged 35, has been sentenced to two to six years in prison.
Between September 2020 and October 2022, an individual named Foumakoye was found guilty of stealing $110,312.48 from an unidentified gym in the town of Clarence, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s office. The theft was carried out through fraudulent credit card refunds issued by Foumakoye, which were then routed to her personal bank account instead of the business’s account.
According to the plea agreement Foumakoye signed on June 28, she was obligated to repay the entire amount that was missing from the business. However, as of Wednesday, no restitution has been made, as per the statement made by the DA.
