A woman has been arrested in connection with a murder in Pike County

A woman has been taken into custody by Pike County deputies in connection with the most recent homicide in the county.
On Tuesday night, authorities were summoned to conduct a wellness check at the 800 block of County Road 6618.
Upon conducting a more in-depth inquiry, it has been revealed that Lisa Tolin, a 61-year-old resident of Banks, has been accused of committing murder. She is presently being held in Pike County Jail without the possibility of bail until an Aniah’s Law hearing takes place.
The investigation is being aided by several organizations, including the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, Bullock County Sheriff’s Office, Troy Fire Department, and Pike County Coroner. Their collective efforts are contributing to the ongoing investigation.
