3 charged in Johnstown Lane home burglary

Three individuals have been apprehended and are facing multiple charges in relation to a burglary incident in Virginia Beach. WAVY reported the news.

On the afternoon of September 23, officers received a call regarding a burglary in progress at a residence located in the 5200 block of Johnstown Lane.

Virginia Beach Police reported that they had engaged in a foot pursuit with the suspects and had successfully apprehended all three. During the investigation, the police also recovered a firearm.

Three individuals, Isaiah Palmer (24), Giovani Calixte (21), and Alii Gurney-Proctor (19), have been charged with a series of offences, including burglary, grand theft, use of a firearm while committing a felony, conspiracy, and obstruction. It’s worth noting that Calixte is also facing an extra charge for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and wearing a mask in specific locations.

Authorities are still looking into the matter.
