'I'm so upset.' Gen Z woman is devastated after her first day at a 9-to-5 office job.

Gen Z woman feels devastated after her first day at a 9-to-5 office job, exclaiming “I’m so upset.”

After starting her first 9-to-5 office job, recent college graduate and TikTok personality, Brielle Asero, was taken aback by the harsh reality of the 40-hour workweek. She soon found herself questioning how she could manage to balance her personal life with her lengthy commute and demanding work schedule.

The woman faces a grueling 2-hour commute every day from New Jersey to New York City, as seen in a TikTok video she shared.

In a video viewed over 2.6 million times, she expresses her frustration by saying, “I’m so upset.” She clarifies that it’s not the job that’s causing her distress, but rather the schedule. Her day starts with a train ride at 7:30 a.m., and she doesn’t return home until the earliest at 6:15 p.m. With such a tight schedule, she laments that she doesn’t have enough time to do anything.

In the midst of her busy schedule, she describes it as “crazy” and wonders aloud, “How does anyone have time for a social life or dating?”

As she spoke, she expressed her frustration, “I just can’t seem to find any time to do anything. I barely get a moment to take a shower and have my meal before it’s time for me to hit the bed. I don’t even have the energy to cook my food, let alone hit the gym. It’s so overwhelming and distressing, I can’t even begin to describe it.”

I’m feeling unwell and would appreciate some space right now. My emotions are running high, and I feel like a vulnerable 12-year-old. The uncertainty of not having enough time is weighing heavily on my mind, and I’m afraid.

I’m feeling unwell and would appreciate some space. Emotions are running high, and I’m feeling vulnerable at the moment. The uncertainty of the future is causing me anxiety, and I’m afraid that time is slipping away from me.

Following the video’s widespread circulation, Asero provided clarification in a subsequent statement where she acknowledged that there are numerous individuals who face more challenging circumstances than she does.

According to her, she believes that she cannot speak for everyone as she is just an individual with her own unique set of circumstances. She acknowledges that she is not faced with the same challenges as most people who have to take care of children and pets. The idea of leaving a child or dog alone at home for such long hours is not something she can relate to.

According to Asero, she feels a sense of gratitude towards her job since not many companies are willing to provide training opportunities for fresh college graduates.

I would be happy to provide my official comment on the matter. As per the request, please feel free to use this statement as you see fit. “I am disappointed that my check has not yet been processed. I kindly request that the necessary steps be taken to rectify this situation as soon as possible. Thank you.”
