Juveniles arrested, found with weapons at Mississippi high school homecoming parade

Police apprehended three minors during a homecoming parade in Mississippi after discovering two firearms and marijuana in their possession.

According to The Woodville Republican, three teenagers, including a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds, were apprehended on October 13th while the Wilkinson County High School’s Homecoming Parade occurred on Main Street in Woodville.

Police seized two weapons, one of which had been illegally modified. Police apprehended a 16-year-old minor for carrying a .40 caliber Glock pistol that was unlawfully altered to be fully automatic using a homemade “Switch.”

A rifle of 7.62×39 was discovered in the possession of a 17-year-old. The possession of illegal firearms charges were brought against both minors. Authorities pressed charges of marijuana possession against a 17-year-old juvenile.
