Man dies in Compton after altercation
According to authorities, a physical altercation between two men in Compton resulted in the death of one of them, while the other was apprehended.
According to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau, when the officers arrived at the 100 block of North Poinsettia Avenue at 8:21 p.m. on Sunday in response to a battery report, they found the victim unresponsive due to injuries related to the fight.
According to officials, the man was given medical assistance by the deputies until the paramedics arrived. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene. The officials have decided to withhold his identity until his family has been notified of the tragic incident.
