Norfolk Police identified woman who was fatally shot in a double shooting incident early in the morning
An investigation is currently underway by the Norfolk Police regarding a double shooting that occurred overnight at the crossroads of East Brambleton Avenue and Church Street.
Around 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, the police were called to the 700 block of Church Street to respond to a report of two individuals who had been shot. Upon arrival, they found a woman and a 51-year-old man who had both sustained gunshot wounds.
Precious McClendon, a 24-year-old woman, was declared deceased at the location.
The gentleman was transported to the medical facility with injuries that were deemed not life-threatening. At the moment, no further information is available regarding this incident, as detectives have not yet disclosed any details.
