Alabama man found lying in roadway

The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that resulted in a fatality. To aid in the ongoing investigation, the public is requested to come forward with any information or additional details that may be helpful.

Deputies were dispatched to the 19000 block of Andalusia Highway in Crenshaw County on September 14th, following reports of an individual lying in the roadway.

Upon reaching the scene, the units found a male victim who had sustained severe injuries and was in critical condition. He was immediately taken to Andalusia Hospital, where, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he could not be saved and was declared dead.

Joseph Cody Wayne Williamson, a 25-year-old resident of Andalusia, has been identified as the victim.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is limited information available, as stated by the investigators.
